What's on in Sydney this July

Sydney's winter long lunch season is one of the best reasons to gather around a table, and this one is worth marking in the diary. On Sunday 26th July, the Laureti family hosts a five-course wine lunch at Sala Dining on Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont, launching the new release Alessandro Reserve wines with the winemakers at the table.

What to expect at your Sydney wine lunch

This lunch is the Laureti family tradition of the long Italian table, the kind of afternoon where the food keeps coming, the wine keeps flowing, and nobody is watching the clock.

You arrive at Sala Dining at the end of Jones Bay Wharf, where the harbour stretches out in front of you and the afternoon stretches out ahead of you.

Canapes start with freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters and buttermilk blini with caviar. From there, five courses unfold at an unhurried pace, each one paired with a wine from across the Alessandro Reserve collection, from the Semillon and Chardonnay through to the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, finishing with Rare Muscat alongside dessert.

The Laureti family and the winemaking team will be at the table with you, sharing the stories behind the wines, the vintages, and the family tradition this lunch carries. This is not a masterclass. It is a family lunch, and you are part of it.

The Laureti Way

Saddler's is more than just a winery, it's a Hunter Valley destination we created for bringing people together over good food and wine, family hospitality the Laureti way. The live music, the food from Mangia at Saddler's, the picnic grounds where families gather, they all exist because the point was never just the wine, it was the connection around it. This is a place for making memorable occasions over a glass, the kind you remember long after the glass is empty.

Wine crafted with heart and soul, made for sharing.
