Description

This Piquepoul Blanc was harvested on 26/2/25 from Windowrie Estate Vineyard NSW. 82% of the juice was fermented in Stainless Steel, matured on lees for 3 months and 18% fermented & matured on lees in seasoned French Oak.

Originating from the appellation of Piqpoul de Pinet, in the Languedoc region of France, this rare white variety has found a new home in the Central Ranges wine region.

This wine is renowned for being the best wine match for oysters. Lemon pith, elderflower and saline minerality jump from the glass, and are backed by a well structured palate of lemon sorbet, green apple and something reminiscent of Citra hops.

Lemon pith, nashi pear and dry chalky stone, with some star jasmine and white needle tea. There is a slickness about this wine, some oyster mushroom earthiness and a sleek line of acidity. Summer drinking incarnate. Impressive briskness to the fruit and long, drawn-out citrus notes.
