Saddler's Merlot
2021 Merlot, Barossa Valley, South Australia
Fragrant notes of burnt bayleaf on the noes. Beautiful balanced hints of rich black plums, blue fruits and bright black cherry. What an outstanding expression of the Barossa Valley.
Description
A lovely medium- bodied red to be enjoyed by the fire during the cooler months. The glass fills with a beautiful burgundy red colour which most certainly complements the palate notes. French vanilla and burnt bayleaf dominates the nose whilst the palate is filled with a mix of red, blue and black fruits.

- Tasting Notes
Beautiful burgundy red in colour with a vibrant edge and deep red core. Leaping out of the glass the second you swirl it, black plums, sour cherry, french vanilla and toasted bayleaf dominate the nose.
Blue fruits shine on the tip of the tongue, with the mid palate bright with black cherries amalgamating with well integrated oak which has the structure to stretch well into the back palate and well into the decade.
The back palate is filled out with toasted spice notes. A generous blackberry sweetness balances the tannins of the wine. Delicately handled in its use of oak, this wine will impress enthusiasts of every calibre.
