Mangia at Saddler’s is the culinary heartbeat of Saddler’s Creek Wines in Pokolbin, where boutique wine meets authentic Italian soul food in the Hunter Valley.

Led by Venetian-born chef Mattia “Chef Chiero” Secchiero, our ethos is simple: seasonal ingredients, locally sourced, cooked with love, and shared with family and friends.

Casual Eats

From the silver Airstream kitchen, guests enjoy casual Italian eats made for alfresco gathering in the Hunter Valley wine garden. Think handmade panini, rustic antipasto, fresh seafood, and hearty pasta, all served sustainably in compostable packaging. Every dish pairs with Saddler’s wines by the glass, by the bottle, or alongside your wine tasting.

Wine & Chill is our signature Saddler’s Creek experience. Enjoy live music in the wine garden, Saddler’s wines by the glass or bottle, and casual eats served fresh from the Airstream. Open Friday until 8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 am to 3 pm.

Mangia at Saddler’s Creek is where fresh, authentic Italian flavours meet local Hunter Valley goodness, each week you can expect new and vibrant specials crafted to delight both the palate and the soul, perfectly paired with our premium wines.  

Curated Events

Chef Chiero curates private food and wine experiences designed to bring people together. These include wine and food pairing journeys, chef’s table feasts, intimate corporate retreats, and milestone celebrations.

Events can be hosted in the Bluegrass Members Lounge for up to 14 guests, or in the Barrel Room and the picnic grounds for larger gatherings of up to 80 guests.

Take Home the Flavours

Guests can continue the experience at home with Chef Chiero’s Deli Pantry, a handmade collection of sauces, antipasti, baked goods, and ready-to-enjoy meals that pair perfectly with Saddler’s wines.
