Amici @ Saddler's
Delicious Italian casual eats
“Amici” means friends in Italian. This is a collaboration between two long-time family friends — the Laureti’s and the Grasso’s — bonded by heritage, Sunday lunches, and a mutual love of food.
👨🍳 Real Recipes from Real Italians. The Grasso family, owners of Amici Italian Restaurant, brings their signature favourites to Saddler’s. This is the food we grew up on — simple, satisfying, and straight from the heart.
🍝 This Week’s Menu
Nonna Maria’s Meatballs in Sugo
A Laureti family classic. Still made every Sunday by Maria herself. A hug in meatball form.
Sicilian Arancini with Sugo
Handmade risotto balls, crispy and golden. Weekly flavours.
Garlic Prawns in Pescarese Sugo
Inspired by Nonno Alessandro’s Adriatic days. Juicy prawns in a tomato-garlic sauce with a splash of local olive oil.
Sicilian Fried Mozzarella
Because fried cheese is a right, not a privilege. Crunchy, gooey, irresistible.
Salt & Pepper Squid with Lemon Aioli
Served with chips and greens. A nod to both Abruzzo’s mountains and Pescara’s sea.
Chicken Schnitzel with Boscaiola Sauce
Crispy schnitzel, creamy mushroom-pancetta sauce, chips, and greens. A hit with all grandchildren.
Marisa’s Favourite Pasta
This week: Tortellini Boscaiola.
🍟 Contorni (Sides):
- Rosemary Garlic Chips
- Pane di Casa
- Add sugo or Boscaiola sauce
🍰 Dolci:
Tiramisu — Because life’s too short to skip dessert.
