🍷 Free live music at Saturday Wine and Chill. Three Australian singer songwriters, wine by the glass and the Mangia summer menu

Free live music in the Hunter Valley this October

The Wild Hearts Tour is three writers playing their own songs and telling you where each one came from. Stripped back arrangements and the story behind every song, across a Saturday afternoon in the Wine Garden.

They are playing as part of our Saturday Wine and Chill. Entry is free, and we ask you to book a table so we know who is coming. Find a spot in the Wine Garden and stay as long as the afternoon holds.

This is what the place was built for. Delicious food, great wine and fabulous live music.

October is a great time of the year in the Hunter. It is usually warm but not too hot. The vines are starting to flourish.

What happens on the day

The music runs from 12:30pm to 3:30pm in the Wine Garden, outdoors. Three writers, each playing their own material and unpacking the songs as they go. Presented by MusicNSW and SARALYN.

Around it, Saturday Wine and Chill runs as it always does. Wine by the glass from the cellar door, food from the Mangia kitchen, and no rush to be anywhere.

Who is playing

Bahi

An indie folk artist from Gumbaynggirr Country, writing in a quiet, unhurried register built for a room that listens.

Clover Lane

Alt folk with country and indie threads running through it, and a blues edge underneath. Stripped back songwriting, built around the story rather than the arrangement.

SNEZ

More than fifteen years on the road across regional Australia. Her work has picked up ABC radio support and a Songs for Justice Award.

What you can eat and drink

Food comes from Mangia at Saddler's, our Italian Airstream Kitchen, run by Venetian born Chef Chiero. The new summer menu has a delicious selection of meals to choose from, handmade pasta, antipasto boards and Italian plates built for a long afternoon outside. Served between 12:00pm and 3:00pm, ordered on the day at the cellar door. Have a look at the Mangia at Saddler's menu before you come.

The Laureti family came out from Italy in 1955, and that heritage is the reason there is an Italian kitchen at the heart of this place.

Wine is by the glass or the bottle from the cellar door, poured across the range, so you can start where you like and keep going from there.

Planning your visit to Pokolbin

Saddler's Creek Wines is at 15 Marrowbone Road, Pokolbin, about two hours north of Sydney and roughly forty minutes from Newcastle Airport. Plenty of guests make a weekend of it and stay nearby in Cessnock or Mount View, and our guide to planning a Hunter Valley wine trip has places to stay and what else to do while you are here.

The Laureti Way

Saddler's is more than just a winery, it's a Hunter Valley destination we created for bringing people together over good food and wine, family hospitality the Laureti way. The live music, the food from Mangia at Saddler's, the picnic grounds where families gather, they all exist because the point was never just the wine, it was the connection around it. This is a place for making memorable occasions over a glass, the kind you remember long after the glass is empty.

Wine crafted with heart and soul, made for sharing.
